Some types of kaolins from different manufacturers have been investigated. The analysis of the chemical, mineral and granulometric compositions of kaolins and their influence on the properties of the finished masses has been carried out. The properties of kaolins necessary to optimize the properties of ceramic masses have been determined. The rheological characteristics are considered and their effect on the control of the technological process is shown. The main disadvantages and advantages of various types of kaolins, both traditionally used by domestic producers and some new ones, have been established. Tab. 4, ill. 1, bibliography: 9 titles.
