Heading: Science for glass production

A technique for the numerical simulation of external heat transfer in a gas-electric glass-making furnace is considered. The influence of the power of additional electric heating (ADH) of molten glass on the characteristics of the thermal operation of the furnace is shown. Examples of calculating the parameters of heat transfer depending on the productivity of the furnace and the power of the EAF are given. Tab. 5, ill. 3, bibliography: 6 titles.
