Refining of the glass furnace performance specification

The process of improving the main technical characteristics of a glass-melting furnace is considered: productivity, specific removal of molten glass and specific heat consumption for glass-making. Their interrelation and interdependence is shown. Using the heat balance method, the dependence of the specific heat consumption on a number of parameters of the thermal operation of the furnace has been investigated. It is recommended to use the heat balance method at the initial stage of designing glass melting furnaces. Tab. 3, ill. 6, bibliography: 31 titles.
