A qualitative assessment of the spectral and viscosity-temperature characteristics of heat-absorbing glass in comparison with ordinary colorless glass has been carried out, and the features of its formation have been revealed. Based on the analysis of patent literature and the experience of glass production on the EPKS-4000 line of the Saratov Institute of Glass, it is shown that it is necessary to change the structural elements of the drain unit and molding modes to obtain high-quality heat-absorbing glass.
