The features of the use of organic compounds in the technology of glass modification (aliphatic alcohols and ketones, organic acids and their salts, organosilicon compounds) are considered in comparison with inorganic ones. It is shown that as a result of glass surface treatment with organic compounds, it is possible to improve the mechanical, chemical, colorimetric, biochemical and other properties of the glass.
