The sitall-forming ability of glasses based on granitoids of the Republic of Belarus, a new type of petrurgical raw material for the silicate industry, has been investigated. The ideas about the mechanism of crystallization of glasses obtained from mineral melts are formulated. It has been established that the crystallization of the peroxene phase occurs according to the spherulite type on the stable chromium pikotite phase, which is formed upon cooling the glass and persists until the end of the sitall formation process. Tab. 1, ill. 4, bibliography: 6 titles.
Rapid methods have been developed for the determination of crystal color carriers - copper and zinc oxides. The techniques have been tested on samples of colored crystal glass. The correctness of the determination was confirmed by the atomic absorption method. Tab. 2, bibliography: 15 titles.
A method is proposed for obtaining a chemically homogeneous glass batch by introducing fine and hygroscopic raw materials in the form of microgranules into its composition, followed by compaction of the batch. Glass batch prepared by this method has high homogeneity and chemical activity. Bibliography: 1 titles.
The results of the analysis of systems and areas of application of low-melting glasses based on the literature data used to select the optimal system are presented. The melting properties of low-melting glasses based on the borate system ZnO - SrO - B 2 O 3 have been studied. The dependences of the main properties of glasses on the composition (TLEC, temperature of the onset of softening, microhardness, chemical resistance to water) have been established. The optimal compositions of low-melting glasses with the required physicochemical and technological parameters have been determined. Il. 3, bibliography: 7 titles.
The characteristics of microporous borosilicate glasses are presented. Recommended for the production and use of glass with an optimal pore distribution. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 2 titles.
To study structural transformations during crystallization and to quantitatively determine the content of phases after different modes of heat treatment and irradiation, a standard-free X-ray method of qualitative phase analysis has been proposed. Tab. 1, ill. 2, bibliography: 6 titles.
Mathematical models of the process of glass ribbon forming on tin melt have been developed. The efficiency of statistical regulation of the molding process is shown, which makes it possible to improve the quality of the produced glass. Tab. 2, bibliography: 4 titles.
The mechanism of formation and dynamics of flows of molten glass in bath glass furnaces are considered. The results of a number of works carried out on this topic are analyzed. Bibliography: 3 titles.
A function is given that describes the properties of glass subjected to complex heat treatment. The advantages of three-stage heat treatment over pulse hardening are revealed. Tab. 1, ill. 4, bibliography: 2 titles.
The crystallization ability of glasses based on the ZnB 2 O 4 - NaPO 3 system has been investigated. The results of differential thermal analysis, polythermal studies and X-ray phase analysis, which made it possible to determine the crystallization intervals and its dependence on the temperature-time factor, are presented. Tab. 1, ill. 3, bibliography: 7 titles.
