Alumina ceramic with eutectic Zn-containing additive

The features of sintering ceramics based on aluminum oxide with a eutectic zinc-containing additive have been investigated. It has been established that the introduction of 1% of a sintering additive into GLMK alumina makes it possible at a temperature of 1450 ° C to obtain ceramics with zero open porosity, an average density of 3.84 g / cm ³ and a ultimate bending strength of 310 40 MPa. The ceramics has a closed porosity of about 1% and an average size of corundum crystals of 5-8 microns. Tab. 2, ill. 1, bibliography: 6 titles.
