The article considers a technique for studying the crack resistance of a clay semi-finished product during the drying process. It is proposed to establish the safe drying time for products of complex shapes by plotting a diagram of the maximum possible moisture removal depending on the shape factors (reduced thicknesses) of simple parts of the product. The technique was tested on samples from the studied clay and industrial brick mass. Tab. 2, ill. 7, bibliography: 6 titles.
