The diffusion processes occurring at the interface between willemite glass-crystalline glaze and quartz glass-ceramics during firing have been studied. The formation of a transitional contact zone between the glaze and quartz glass-ceramics was experimentally established, which ensures the formation of a strong adhesion of the coating to the substrate. Using the method of layer-by-layer etching and X-ray fluorescence analysis, the length of the contact zone and the concentration distribution of the components in it were determined. The coefficients of interdiffusion of potassium and silicon ions for glaze firing conditions have been calculated. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 9 titles.
