A study of foam glass and glassy materials (polyurethanes) was carried out for their use as oil sorbents. The specific character of the kinetic curves of oil absorption is established, due to the glassy state of the surface, regardless of its nature (inorganic or organic). The promising areas of practical application of the results obtained have been identified.
A method of solid-phase neutralization of effluents (when obtaining highly pure quartz) with dry quicklime in a moving layer of material has been investigated. The use of this method will make it possible to obtain a solid granular product at the exit from the apparatus of the granulator-neutralizer, which is convenient for subsequent processing (briquetting and drying for the needs of metallurgy or sending to a landfill). The advantages of this method over the liquid phase are the exclusion from the technological scheme of operations for the preparation of milk of lime and the filtration of fine sediment, a significant reduction in the volume of waste water, and the production of flux in granular form.
A high-strength, extra-heavy, reaction-powder concrete of a new generation for protection from radiation has been proposed. The production of such superconcrete was achieved through the complex use of waste silicate-lead glasses of TF-10 grade as fine and coarse aggregates introduced into the composition of the concrete mixture in dry form.
Ceramic pigments have been synthesized, which are microgranules of waste generated in the process of grinding optical glasses, the surface of which is covered with two layers - silica and crystals & # 945; -Fe 2 O 3 , & # 945; -Al 2 O 3 and FeAl 2 O 4 . The resulting pigments can be used to make enamels for glass, metal and porcelain. Il. 3, bibliography: 5 titles.
It is shown that the introduction of up to 15% pyrite cinders into ceramic masses significantly improves the frost resistance of tiles, while water absorption decreases disproportionately to frost resistance. A significant increase in frost resistance is facilitated by a uniform distribution of pores with a size of 10 -6 -10 -7 m. 4, ill. 2, bibliography: 8 titles.
The plant's experience in the creation and operation of rational cooling systems for circulating water supply for glass industries is considered. The reconstruction made it possible to reduce the consumption of fresh water by 10 times. Tab. 1, ill. 1, bibliography: 2 titles.
The process model of the environmental control system of the charge preparation shop is considered. Il. 2.
The main, most common at the moment types of dust-cleaning equipment for composite shops of glass factories and variants of aspiration systems used in the projects of JSC "Stromizmeritel" are considered. Il. 2, bibliography: 2 titles.
The technique of creating an environmental management system using the process approach is considered on the example of JSC "Borsky glass plant". Il. 3, bibliography: 3 titles.
Compositions based on titanate compositions were selected and tested. A technology for their production using high-alumina cement is proposed. An assessment is given of some properties that make it possible to use these compositions as a sacrificial material for trapping the melt of an atomic reactor. Tab. 4, ill. 1, bibliography: 10 titles.
