The possibility of using granite screenings (granitoids) of the Mikashevichskoye deposit of the Republic of Belarus for obtaining porous heat-insulating materials has been investigated. The original glasses were synthesized using from 50 to 70% (by weight) granitoids and additional introduction of quartz sand, chalk and soda. The range of compositions with the required viscosity at foaming temperatures of 800 and 830 ° C has been determined. On the basis of these compositions, foam glass was obtained having a bulk density of 180 - 190 kg / m 3 , a compressive strength of 0.72 - 0.78 MPa and a thermal conductivity of 0.091 W / (m & # 903; K). The possibility of obtaining foam glass with the introduction of up to 60% of cheap natural raw materials into the composition of the charge has been proved. Tab. 1, ill. 3, bibliography: 10 titles.
