Bioinert ceramics based on partially stabilized tetragonal zirconium dioxide have been developed, and their chemical and phase compositions, microstructure, and physical and technical characteristics have been investigated. Ceramic heads of hip joint endoprostheses with a diameter of 28 mm with a spherical surface roughness R a less than 0.02 µm and a deviation from sphericity of 1 µm were made. It is shown that the developed bioceramics and ceramic heads of endoprostheses made of it meet the requirements of international standards in terms of technical characteristics and parameters and are not inferior to similar products from well-known companies.
