On the basis of the analysis of the publications of V.D.Kingeri, the areas of his scientific interests are considered in chronological order. Particular attention is paid to his merits in the field of application of the chemistry of crystals with defects in the technology of ceramics and the study of ancient ceramics and art objects from it.
