The use of the heat of cooling of molten glass in the working ducts of the furnace for the production of container glass is considered. Intermediate heat carrier application? circulating flue gases? allows to achieve high thermal homogeneity, high-quality regulation of the temperature of the glass melt, high intensity of heat exchange, flexibility in the construction of thermal circuits.
The use of the heat of the molten glass for the steam reforming of a part of the natural gas used to heat the melting part of the furnace makes it possible to reduce the total fuel consumption by 5%. When steam is obtained due to the heat of the melt in the working channel, it is possible to generate about 16 kWh of electricity per 1 ton of melted glass.
