The use of fiberglass as a reinforcing material for fiberglass is shown. The areas of application of glass fiber cement and products from it in construction are given. The issues of glass fiber cement strength and its dependence on various factors are considered. Bibliography: 4 titles.

A method of active protection of the float glass surface from leaching by spraying an aqueous solution of phosphate salts onto the surface of a moving glass ribbon in the temperature range 120 - 560 ° C is considered. The coating provides additional chemical modification of the glass surface and lengthens its shelf life. Tab. 2, ill. 1, bibliography: 4 titles.

Structural methods of analysis were used to study the effect of P ₂ O ₅ additives on the regularity of changes in the phase composition of the crystallization products of glasses of the lithium aluminosilicate system at different heat treatment temperatures. The reasons for the increased tendency to foaming of iron-containing glass melts are revealed, depending on the composition, concentration of iron oxides, and the cooking medium. Recommendations for their elimination are given. It is shown that foam in iron-containing silicate melts is formed by the interaction of a ferritized melt with quartz. The current situation on the consumption of silane coupling agents by fiberglass factories is reflected. New trade marks of organosilicon dressing agents from the world's leading manufacturers are presented. The possibilities of using silanes with different functional groups to obtain fiberglass materials with improved consumer properties are considered. Tab. 3, bibliography: 7 titles.

The difference in the diffusion coefficients of cations in complex oxides during their synthesis leads to the formation of a solid solution of an oxide containing a cation with a lower diffusion coefficient in a complex oxide and a phase consisting of an oxide containing a cation with a high diffusion coefficient or enriched in this oxide. Using highly dispersed powders, it is possible to determine the most mobile cation under the conditions of synthesis by the oxide remaining in the product. This is shown by the example of the synthesis of lanthanum chromite by the sol-gel method. An explanation is given for the change in the ratio of the diffusion rates of lanthanum and chromium cations depending on the synthesis temperature and the content of polyvinyl alcohol in the gel. The disadvantages of existing methods for determining the thermal resistance of materials are noted. On the basis of information on the change in the strength of samples of various compositions during thermal cycling, an easy and more objective method for determining thermal stability is proposed. The physicochemical and technological properties of the Gzhel deposit clays have been studied. They can be recommended as the main type of raw material for the production of pottery and majolica products, ceramic tiles, tiles, artistic ceramics, tiles, etc. Table. 2, ill. 1, bibliography: 1 titles.

Coloration of glass obtained using the maximum amount of cullet has been studied. The possibility of producing large batches of glass for construction purposes from glass production waste has been confirmed, which leads to significant savings in scarce raw materials.
