The application in the glass industry of a nitrogen-hydrogen protective atmosphere obtained by various methods is considered. The results of research in the field of developing a technology for generating a protective atmosphere from natural gas are presented. Il. 1.

An analysis of a large number of experimental data of various authors on the electrical conductivity of alkali-silicate glasses with different contents of alkali oxide has been carried out. It was found that for non-liquid glasses, the dependence of the electrical conductivity on the alkali oxide content is best expressed through its dependence on the average distance between alkali cations. The effect of electron flux and gamma radiation on glasses obtained on the basis of a synthetic glass batch has been investigated. The nature of the radiation color centers formed in glasses and their decay during thermal and photobleaching has been studied. Tab. 1, ill. 3, bibliography: 8 titles.

It is shown that the redox potential (ORP) of glass is formed depending on the nature of the gases released during heating of raw materials. The redox potential of glass significantly affects the valence state of iron and copper and the oxygen coordination number of Cu (II) ions. Tab. 1, ill. 1, bibliography: 9 titles.

It has been shown that the method of dry enrichment of kaolin from the Zhuravliniy Log deposit, implemented at the Plast-Rifey enterprise, allows the separation of kaolin products of various dispersion and, by mixing them in a certain ratio, directionally regulate the fineness, quality and ceramic properties of enriched kaolin, taking into account the requirements of a specific ceramic production. The features of the quasi-isostatic pressing method are considered, which is the most perfect, economical and simple way of designing products from powder materials and provides high quality products due to the volumetric reduction of the pressed material. The method can be used for the design of products made of ceramic, metal, graphite powders, sitall, ferrites, abrasive materials, as well as in the production of refractory products. The properties of ceramic bonds used in the production of electrocorundum abrasive tools are given. Methods for studying the properties of ceramic bonds are considered, including methods that make it possible to study the process of sintering of the components of bonds and grains of electrocorundum and the formation of the structure of the bond and the contact zone of the bond and electrocorundum.
