The influence of the processes of pouring and spreading of glass melt in a molten bath on the optical performance of float glass is considered. The existing design and technological solutions for leveling temperature gradients in the flow of molten glass, which are one of the main causes of optical distortions, are presented. The effect of heat treatment on the phase composition, microstructure, and properties of glass-crystalline materials has been investigated. The possibility of obtaining, on the basis of iron-containing glass, glass-crystalline materials of practically the same composition with a wide range of electromagnetic characteristics is shown. The possibility of using pyroxene skarns of the Koytash ore field for the production of glass-crystalline materials has been investigated, and the features of crystallization of their melts have been evaluated. The material of the given monomineral pyroxene composition was obtained. Sintered sitalls made on its basis have high acid resistance (99.3%) and bending strength equal to 82 MPa. The composition of masses for facing ceramic tiles based on self-disintegrating highly basic electric steel-melting slags has been developed. The physical and mechanical properties of the fired tiles meet the requirements of GOST 6141-91. Tab. 1, bibliography: 1 titles.

The processes of synthesis of the starting materials during chemical deposition for magnesium spinel have been studied. It has been established that the choice of the initial salts (nitrates, chlorides, sulfates) has practically no effect on the phase composition of the heat treatment products, but it has a significant effect on the properties of the initial sediments. A technology has been developed for the manufacture of gypsum-ceramic material on the basis of chemical production waste - fluoroanhydrite. The resulting material is easy to grind and polish, does not accumulate static electricity, and has a surface texture similar to marble. Tab. 1, ill. 4, bibliography: 5 titles.

Composite materials based on sodium silicate, tremolite, diopside, wollastonite, as well as industrial waste (ground porcelain and baked clay powder) have been synthesized. A technological scheme for their production is proposed. Tab. 2, ill. 2, bibliography: 5 titles.

On the basis of alumina-containing waste, ground enamels for steel have been synthesized with increased adhesion strength. Mathematical modeling was carried out and the regression equation was obtained. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 6 titles.

A method for producing glass "bypassing the liquid phase" has been scientifically substantiated and developed. production of glass "from below" based on kanazite synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of amorphous rocks. Kanazit is a complex glass raw material suitable for glass-making without any addition of glass-forming components, as well as clarifiers and decolourizers. Due to the amorphous phase composition and the finely dispersed state of the components, kanazite is characterized by high reactivity, which leads to an intensive course of glass-making processes at lower temperatures.
