The sitall-forming ability of glasses based on granitoids of the Republic of Belarus, a new type of petrurgical raw material for the silicate industry, has been investigated. The ideas about the mechanism of crystallization of glasses obtained from mineral melts are formulated. It has been established that the crystallization of the peroxene phase occurs according to the spherulite type on the stable chromium pikotite phase, which is formed upon cooling the glass and persists until the end of the sitall formation process.
