A scientifically substantiated applied technique for engineering calculation of the thermal resistance of the wall layer has been developed. the temperature of the melt and the composition of the glass melt in the melting basin to increase the accuracy of predicting the temperature regimes in the corrosive zones of the refractory enclosures of glass-making furnaces

A phosphate-based laser glass with various concentrations of Nd ³⁺ ions has been synthesized, the composition of which provides enhanced melting properties and the possibility of obtaining optically homogeneous glass in small-volume crucibles. The set of the main spectral-luminescence characteristics of the obtained glasses is determined and it is shown that this matrix provides a long luminescence duration and a high quantum yield in a wide range of Nd ³⁺ concentrations. Taking into account good cooking and working properties, this matrix composition seems to be useful in the development of new laser materials with a modified luminescence band due to activation by various rare-earth elements and modification of the matrix with highly polarizable cations.

Is it possible to reduce energy consumption in the production of glass containers by reducing the melting temperature of glasses by partially replacing traditional raw materials with alternative silicon-containing raw materials? porcelanitis. The chemical, phase and granulometric composition of porcelanite, as well as the performance properties of experimental glasses, have been investigated. A comparison of energy consumption for melting experimental glasses based on porcelanite and traditional raw materials is carried out.

Comparative studies of the impregnation of high-strength and basalt fibers with epoxy binders with various hardeners of untreated and emulsion-treated film-formers have been carried out. The method of assessing the impregnation by the height of the capillary rise of the binder revealed differences in the surface treatment of high-strength and basalt fibers. The effect of surface treatment on the change in the strength of the tested filaments and microplastics based on them is estimated.

It was found that the processing of polished surfaces of optical parts made of silicate glass in hexamethyldisilazane vapor leads to the creation of a protective film that prevents the effects of the environment. An increase in ambient humidity and temperature leads to a decrease in the protective properties of the film

The problems of enrichment of dolomite used for the preparation of glass batch are considered. A project of a lump dolomite processing line was presented, including equipment for drying, crushing and three-stage separation of crushed material. The possibility of an additional decrease in the amount of dolomite dust fraction in the finished product is shown due to the use of aerial classification

The outer surfaces of reusable spacecraft are covered with special heat-shielding materials. These materials also need to be protected from erosion, moisture, etc. with thermal control coatings. At VIAM, a set of works has been carried out to create and improve erosion-resistant temperature-control coatings and technologies for their production and use.
