The defect structure of alumina nanopowders and ceramics based on them is studied by the method of electron paramagnetic resonance. Nanopowders have their own structural point defects, which are oxygen vacancies that have captured an electron (F + centers). Among the impurity defects in nanopowders and ceramics, signals from Fe 3+, Cr 3+, and Ti 3+ ions, occupying different crystallographic positions in Al 2 About 3 or in
separate phases. Tab. 3, ill. 2, bibliography: 9 titles.
