  • Cold Sintering of ZnO Ceramics in the Aquatic Medium: Test Demonstration

    • Pages: 13-18
A study of the compaction of zinc oxide powder under conditions simulating the process of cold sintering described in the work of the research group of K. Randall carried out in 2017 in the USA is presented. The results obtained show that dense zinc oxide ceramics can be obtained by pressing (pressing pressure p = 77 MPa) in an aqueous medium at temperatures of 220-250 ° C. It was found that during pressing under the indicated conditions, two processes occur - compaction and grain growth, which are characteristic of sintering. The reproducibility of the cold sintering process is shown. The urgency of further research in this area has been substantiated.
  • Synthesis and Study of Ceramic Pigments in the System MnO-ZnO-SiO2

    • Pages: 19-22
The possibility of synthesizing manganese-willemite ceramic pigments in the xMnO- (2 - x) ZnO-SiO 2 system (x = 0.125; 0.250; 0.375; 0.500; 0.625; 0.750; 0.875 and 1.00) has been studied. Manganese-willemite ceramic pigments are synthesized at 800 - 1200 ° C. The resulting pigments were investigated using X-ray phase analysis, electron paramagnetic resonance, infrared spectroscopy. Color characteristics were determined using a Tintometr RT100 reflective colorimeter from Lovibond

  • Interaction of Alkaline Medium of Concrete with Foam Ceramics

    • Pages: 33-40
The activity of foamed ceramics and foam glass to silicate-alkaline interaction in concrete has been investigated. It was found that in a humid concrete environment, vitrified walls of the pores of the aggregates are chemically active. Transformations of foam ceramics include gelation of the pore walls with the formation of an alkaline aluminosilicate gel followed by its crystallization. This ensures the fixation of the active components of such a filler in crystalline phases that are inert in a humid environment. The final stage of foam glass transformation is a non-crystallizing alkaline hydrated silicate gel

  • Physical and Chemical Researches of Raw Materials of the Far East of Russia for Synthesis on Their Basis of Foam Glass and Protective Enamel Coatings

    • Pages: 41-45
Investigations of the physicochemical properties of silica-containing raw materials from the Russian Far East, suitable for the synthesis of foam glass and protective enamel coatings for oil and gas pipelines, were carried out. As a result of studies of the chemical, phase composition, macro- and micro-structure of diatomite from the Chernoyarsk deposit, the gaize of the Botchinsky deposit and quartz sand of the Chalgan deposit, it was found that the most suitable raw material for the synthesis of high-quality glass materials using energy and resource-saving technologies is diatomite from the Chernoyarsk deposit, containing amorphous silica. , quartzite, clay impurities, opal and minor amounts of calcite, mica, zeolite

Samples of electrodes with an active layer based on TiO 2, RuO 2, IrO 2 and oxides of rare earth elements Ce, La, Nd, Pr, Gd and others. Studied their electrochemical behavior. The values ??of the values ??of the current-free potentials have been determined. The dependences of the rate of the anodic processes of chlorine and oxygen evolution on the composition of the electrode and the effect of the temperature regime of processing the finishing layer on the electrochemical characteristics are presented.
  • Temperature Regime of Applying a Silicate-Enamel Coating on the Inner Surface of a Heat Exchanger Tube Summaru

    • Pages: 30-32
The study of the temperature regime of glass coating deposition on the inner surface of the heat exchanger tube has been carried out. The choice of the temperature regime for coating the pipe depends on the physical and mechanical properties, geometric dimensions and temperature distribution at any points of the coating and the metal part of the heat exchange pipe. The regularities of the change in the temperature field of the deposition of glass coatings on the inner surface of the pipe depending on the heating time of the electric heating furnace are obtained theoretically. It was found that the temperature when applying a glass coating on the inner surface of the pipe mainly depends on the brand and thickness of the glass sealed rod.

  • The Processes of Gelation, Phase Formation and Sintering in the Process of Synthesis by the Sol-Gel Method of Aluminosilicate Glass-Ceramic Modified with Refractory Hafnium and Zirconium Oxides

    • Pages: 5-12
The sol-gel method was used to synthesize glass ceramics based on the compositions of the Sr (Ba) - Al 2 O 3 - SiO 2 systems, modified with the addition of zirconium oxides ZrO < sub> 2 and hafnium HfO 2 in the presence of stabilizing yttrium oxide and without it. It is shown that the introduction of refractory oxides contributes to a reduction in the gelation time of the initial solutions, intensifies the sintering of glass ceramics, and also leads to a change in the temperature ranges of the phase formation processes and the nature of the precipitated crystalline phases. The use of the sol-gel method made it possible to ensure a uniform distribution of modifier oxide grains in the volume of glass ceramics. Yttrium oxide in the structure of materials is concentrated near ZrO 2 and HfO 2 particles

A selective quality control of the produced multilayer windshields during their bending was carried out. Deviations of the parameters of products from the requirements of technical conditions are revealed. A logistic regression model has been compiled to determine the probability of producing high-quality multilayer automobile glasses, depending on the bending mode.
The efficiency of using logistic regression for the operational quality control of the produced multilayer windshields and making decisions on correcting the bending mode is shown
