The relationships underlying the calculation of the optimal mode of glass annealing are considered. The method for calculating the optimal cooling mode is extended to the general case of glass heat treatment, including the stages of heating, holding and cooling. Il. 1, bibliography: 3 titles.
The experience of using in a continuous technological process of production of sheet light-heat-shielding, mass-colored float glass "light" and "heavy" soda produced by JSC "Soda" (Sterlitamak), as well as soda ash of the 2nd grade from nepheline raw materials produced by JSC "Achinsk Alumina Refinery". The advantages and disadvantages of alkaline raw materials are analyzed. The features of the processes of charge preparation and glass-making when working with the use of different types of soda have been studied. Tab. 2, ill. 2, bibliography: 9 titles.
It is shown that the density of two-component glasses with a change in their composition of the molar content of the modifier obeys a parabolic dependence, the values ??of the parameters of which can be used to judge the magnitude and nature of the interaction between the components. In glasses showing a tendency to liquation, the interaction indicators are more than an order of magnitude lower and negative. Tab. 2, ill. 2, bibliography: 6 titles.
A one-dimensional model is considered, which includes the equations of continuity, balance of forces and a physical model that describes the state of the glass melt in the fiber formation zone. Perturbations associated with changes in technological parameters are introduced into the solutions of the equations defining a stable process, and possible deviations of the fiber radius are determined. Il. 2, bibliography: 2 titles.
The technology and installation of laser etching and polishing of quartz pipes, which allow contactless removal of the surface layer of dirt and cracks and polish the pipe surface, are considered. The use of this technology improves the quality of pipes for diffuse ovens and UV illuminators. Il. 4, bibliography: 5 titles.
The chemical resistance of zinc-containing glass-crystalline glaze, developed to protect refractory products made of quartz glass-ceramics from the action of alkaline media, has been studied. The water and acid resistance of the glaze exceeds that of conventional glazed glasses. The alkali resistance of quartz glass-ceramics during its glazing with glass-crystalline glaze increases more than 4 times. Tab. 2, ill. 1, bibliography: 8 titles.
The effect of iron oxides with a molar content of 2.5 to 35.0% (over 100%) on the properties of aluminoborosilicate glasses has been investigated. The peculiarity of the phase separation of iron-containing glasses, products of their heat treatment, and the kinetics of segregation processes are shown. The valence-coordination state of iron ions and the effect of heat treatment modes on it have been determined. The dependence of the physicochemical properties of glasses on their chemical composition and structure has been studied. The possibility of forming colored glaze coatings with specified properties and texture has been substantiated. Il. 4, bibliography: 6 titles.
The tests of the corrosiveness of soda from nepheline raw materials in relation to the refractory masonry of glass-making furnaces have been carried out. The basic principles of organizing the process of melting industrial glasses from charges containing such soda are considered. It was found that the use of soda does not cause any complications in glass melting and is not associated with the risk of reducing the kiln campaign. Tab. 1, ill. 1, bibliography: 6 titles.
The optical absorption spectra of alkaline-borate glasses colored with cobalt in the visible and near-IR regions (0.4 - 2.7 ?m) have been investigated. An attempt was made to establish the relationship between changes in the structure of the boron-oxygen network and the transition of cobalt ions from octahedral oxygen coordination to tetrahedral coordination. Tab. 3, ill. 2, bibliography: 6 titles.
An assessment of the influence of vibrations of the drawing units on the deviation of the drawn fiber diameter is given. An elastic thread was taken as a design model. A kinematic disturbance is introduced into the boundary conditions, caused by vibrations of the exhaust mechanism. Il. 1, bibliography: 3 titles.
