The rheological properties of clay from the Troitskoye deposit have been studied. It was found that the composition of these clays includes kaolinite, which is characterized by a disordered structure, which results in their increased viscosity and poor liquefaction. The introduction of clay from the Malo-Arkhangelsk deposit makes it possible to achieve a satisfactory flow time. Il. 6, bibliography: 2 titles.
The effect of various electrolytes (soda ash, water glass, sodium tripolyphosphate, carbon-alkali reagent), as well as their combinations on the rheological properties and electrokinetic potential of ceramic slip used for the production of souvenir shtoffs from polymineral clays of Belarus, has been studied. It was found that the maximum thinning effect of a ceramic suspension is achieved with the combined action of combined electrolytes due to the parallel flow of two processes in the system - cation exchange and physical adsorption of anions. Il. 3, bibliography: 5 titles.
The main properties of clay materials, which determine the method of making ceramic bricks, are revealed. The properties of ceramic masses based on Central Asian clays are optimized and recommendations on the technology of brick production are given. Tab. 7.
A method for determining acid and alkali resistance of ceramic materials has been developed and certified. The numerical values ??of the acid and alkali resistance of various ceramic materials and powders have been determined using a unified technique. The possibility of designing a chemically resistant ceramic material with predetermined numerical values ??of acid and alkali resistance is shown. Tab. 6, bibliography: 2 titles.
It was shown that the addition to the initial mixture of SrCO 3 and ZrO 2 , taken in a stoichiometric ratio to obtain SrZrO 3 , of a pre-synthesized powder resulted in combining synthesis with sintering of denser ceramics than without addition. The reasons are a decrease in the degree of nonequilibrium of the workpiece compaction process due to a slight increase in friction between particles and a decrease in the likelihood of local compaction. The influence of an increase in internal friction at the bifurcation point is comparable to the influence of external disturbances and internal fluctuations (noise), which leads to instability of the results. Tab. 1, bibliography: 4 titles.
It has been shown that pastes obtained from cordierite crushed together with surfactants are suitable for extrusion of complex-profile porous ceramics. Suspensions consisting of components for the synthesis of cordierite have unsatisfactory forming properties. The processes of high-temperature annealing of molded cordierite ceramics have been investigated. Tab. 1, ill. 2, bibliography: 11 titles.
It was revealed that when clays are fired under conditions of reduced pressure, reactions with the release of volatile components begin at lower temperatures, and the nature of the gaseous medium is reducing. At the same time, the sintering mechanism changes with the improvement of the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting products. Tab. 5, bibliography: 6 titles.
A technology for obtaining a pigment based on spinel Co 1- x Mg x Al 2 O 4 has been developed, where 0.67 & # 8804; x & # 8804; 0.80. The pigment is bright blue in color and is identical to the reference sample, but with a 2-3 times lower cobalt content. Tab. 2, ill. 1, bibliography: 8 titles.
The information on the mineral, chemical and granulometric composition of Russian kaolins used in the production of fine ceramics is presented. Possibilities of improving the quality of ceramic masses based on various kaolins, products from which are made by molding and slip casting, are considered. Tab. 6, bibliography: 18 titles.
Initial substances for the subsequent synthesis of aluminum-magnesium spinel were obtained by the method of hydroxide precipitation. With the help of IRS and XRD methods, the processes of interaction of the obtained substances, phase transitions and structure formation of aluminum spinels under thermal action are investigated. It was found that the formation of spinel occurs through an intermediate phase - crystalline hydrate Mg5Al4O11x; 15H2O, which during heat treatment turns into aluminum-magnesium spinel. With an increase in temperature, its structure is improved and the amount increases significantly. The formation of the phase practically ends at a temperature of 1300 - 1350 ° C.
