Low-melting colored glasses of the ZnB 2 O 4 - NaPO 3 system for decorating glass with a spreading temperature of 550 ° C have been obtained. Their basic physical and chemical properties have been investigated. Experiments were carried out in industrial conditions, which gave positive results when decorating sheet glass by silk-screen printing, followed by firing at temperatures above 550 ° C. The effect of binders on the quality of paint coatings formed on the basis of lead-free enamels and meeting the requirements of TU RB 100029049.030 has been studied. It has been established that enamel compositions can be prepared using a 20% solution of oxyterpene resin in turpentine and a 2% alcohol solution of Na-CMC grade 7MF. The use of an aqueous solution of dextrin as a binder leads to a deterioration in the quality of enamel coatings - a change in color, a loss of gloss, the appearance of a coke. The influence of additives-nucleators on the surface relief and the degree of crystallization of the material intended for the production of dentin and enamel layers of an artificial tooth is considered. The chemical resistance of lead-free low-melting non-transparent enamels intended for decorating the outer surface of high-quality glassware, depending on the duration of action of hot (98 ° C) water and a 2% solution of sodium carbonate at room temperature, has been determined. The properties of alkaline borotitanosilicate glasses with different contents of boron, titanium and lithium oxides have been investigated. It is shown that on the basis of glasses with a low content of В 2 О 3 (8 - 10%), it is possible to obtain white glass enamel coatings, which are characterized by increased corrosion resistance and low leachability of the coating components in acetic acid solutions. The operational characteristics of the protective coatings of pipelines are analyzed. It is shown that the most promising and durable is glass enamel coating. The possibility of obtaining ceramic pigments based on natural wollastonite using the gel method, which contributes to the formation of wollastonite of an amorphous structure under the action of hydrochloric acid, has been investigated. As chromophores, we used soluble salts containing ions Fe 3+ , Ni 2+ , Cr 3+ , Cu 2 + sup> and Co 2+ . In the process of firing, the structure of wollastonite is restored, the color characteristics of pigments that have passed the stage of gelation are improved. The use of the gel method does not require cardinal changes in the technological scheme and the equipment used, but it contributes to a significant improvement in the color properties of pigments and paints. The possibility of obtaining colored glazes without the synthesis of iron-containing pigments is considered. The glaze contains the smallest particles of an iron-based alloy, for example, steel, obtained by fine grinding of metalworking waste. Tests of a suspension of glazes based on broken window glass with the addition of white-burning clay and finely ground carbon steel shavings showed that after firing it provides a color coating uniform in color. The factors influencing the efficiency of applying glass enamels by electrophoresis have been investigated. It has been established that the most dense and uniform coatings are obtained on steel samples with preliminary deposited nickel.
